LAST UPDATED April, 22 2012: The organizer has finished reviewing the submitted paper for the conference's proceeding.
The notification will be personally informed by email soon.

Following the commitment in mathematical activities to SEAMS (South East Asian Mathematical Society), once in every four years Gadjah Mada University in cooperation with SEAMS organize an International Conference on Mathematics and its Applications in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The first SEAMS-GMU Conference was held in 1991 and the last (fifth) conference was held in 2007. The 6-th SEAMS-GMU Conference will be conducted in July 12-15, 2011. The scientific program will include invited lectures, contributed presentation and workshops.

The objectives of the conference are to provide a forum for researchers, lecturers, educators and students to exchange ideas, to communicate and discuss research findings and new advances in mathematics in the wide area of mathematics, statistics and computer science (theoretical, applied, computational). It is also hoped that the conference will enhance collaboration between researchers from countries in the region and those from outside the country.

Scientific Programme

The scientific programme will consist of plenary and parallel invited lectures and parallel contributed presentations. The invited lectures and refereed contributed papers will be published in the proceeding after the conference.

Topics to be covered include (but are not limited to):
All the research areas of Pure and Applied Mathematics:

Analysis, Applied Analysis,
Algebra, Applied Algebra,
Algorithms, Theoretical Computer Science,
Dynamical Systems, Control Theory and Automation,
Discrete Applied Mathematics,
Fuzzy Sets and Systems and Fuzzy Logic,
Mathematical Modeling (including but not limited to Mathematical Physics, Mathematical Chemistry, Mathematical Biology and Mathematical Medicine)
Optimization and Operational Research,
Quality Theory of Differential Equations, Neural Networks ,
Theoretical and Applied aspects of Computational Geometry,
Mathematics Education
Statistics, Probability, etc.

The workshop preceding the conference will demonstrate to the mathematicians for the application of mathematics for Finance and Biological Science. The workshop is intended to upgrade the teaching capabilities of mathematicians and applied researchers in the region in the area of applied mathematics. The venue of the conference is in the Faculty of Mathematics and Sciences, GMU buildings.
